About Kurt Vinion

Kurt Vinion is an American photographer based in Prague, Czech Republic, with more than two decades of experience in corporate, event, editorial, and commercial photography across Europe and the United States.

Originally trained as a photojournalist at Western Kentucky University—one of America’s most respected visual journalism programs—Kurt built his career photographing everything from international news and major sporting events to executive portraits, conferences, and corporate communications.

His background in photojournalism shaped a working style built on anticipation, discretion, and storytelling under pressure. Those same skills now serve international companies, agencies, conference organizers, and communications teams who require consistent, high-quality visual coverage with fast turnaround times.

Before relocating to Europe, Kurt served as Director of Photography for the University of Louisville Athletic Department, one of the leading collegiate athletic programs in the United States. In addition to photographing major sporting events, he art-directed visual communications for recruitment, public relations, donor relations, and institutional marketing campaigns.

Throughout his career, Kurt has photographed assignments for international publications, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and public institutions. His work has been published globally and was previously distributed through Getty Images and other editorial agencies.
